Matthew is an American student from abroad who has come to Paris to concentrate on French. While at the Cinémathèque Française fighting the terminating of Henri Langlois, he meets the unique twins Théo and Isabelle. The three bond over a common love of film. After supper with their folks, Théo and Isabelle offer Matthew the opportunity to remain with them while their folks are out traveling.
